How Spiritual Death Resulted In Material Subjugation

I’d bet you are someone drawn to understand the world around you. One could say this has even got you into a little trouble, pulling on threads that didn’t make sense until you realize much of the world was not what it seemed. The problem for us is even coming to understanding the truth of the harsh reality around us is not enough, our curiosity demands we know how and why the world was able to fall into such a deep delusion.

At first, it seems the only possible explanation for such pervasive degeneracy, corruption, and incompetence is the conspiracy of an evil cabal. A certain group of people, worshiping evil entities, working together in key positions of power to enact global destruction of everything that is good. And while there is certainly truth to that, it is far from a comprehensive explanation. There are many people who are fundamentally good but still buy into delusional talking points, many lost souls who full throatedly support the mainstream delusion but are not part of nefarious elite clubs, and too broad a buy in for some sort of top down coordination. How do you account for such widespread delusion?

The more I have thought about it, the more I have come to understand that all the ills of the delusional unnatural world we live in today can be traced back to the death of spiritual values and humanity’s subjugation to a limited material mindset. If we fail to understand our lives as something transcendent, and think we are limited to our flesh and blood bodies, it is easy to fall into prioritizing safety, comfort, and pleasure above all else. Our corrupted systems have come to take advantage of this and nefarious people can simply tweak material incentives to produce the desired compliant behaviors. If humanity is to overcome the material delusion, a return to a spiritual understanding is not just advantageous, but necessary.

The Necessity of Understanding

Newly awakened travelers have an insatiable desire to understand the world around them. It is why they broke through the mainstream delusion to begin with. And while I adamantly believe the primary focus of newly awoken travelers should be on self improvement and local involvement, understanding how and why the broader world fell into unnatural delusion is a question many need answered before they can focus their mind and commit to The Journey.

Beside scratching that curiosity itch, the answer serves two essential purposes: to help understand how to interact with the world going forward, and how to avoid personally falling prey to the material immersion that ruined the world around us.

Material Without Spiritual

The foundational reason the world fell into such unnatural delusion is that humanity has been tricked into only thinking of our experience through a strict material lens. If you believe you are nothing more than a random collection of atoms in a cold indifferent universe, not only will you live in fear of death, but with no high power to answer to, you will see no reason not to maximize for material utility. Money, pleasure, comfort, safety all take precedence while spiritual ideals are ignored. And so any small group who can pass laws imposing broad effects can tweak the material incentives of society to push people towards subservient delusion.

Nietzsche predicted this outcome long ago with his famous quote about the death of God and the rise of The Last Man. When people have no awareness of the spiritual, they see no need in challenging themselves past their basic necessities and will subsist at the lowest necessary level for safety and basic pleasures. Bug men, content to be assimilated into the mass of NPCs.

It is also important to note that a purely material view of the world also lays the groundwork for the perverted transhumanist ideology. If you are nothing more than biological parts, then anything you don’t like can simply be changed. The obsession with life extension, plastic surgery, and even genital mutilation is the result of a spiritually dead mind. Trying to hack spiritual emptiness with a doomed material solution.

If we can reestablish an understanding of the spiritual values as transcendent, not only do we become immune to material coercion, but the faith and optimism that comes from a relationship with The Divine is an unending wellspring of strength for those who choose to take on the necessary responsibility of challenge of building a life apart from the mainstream delusion. While most of my content is focused on self improvement and parallel building, spirituality is not separate from this, but integral to it. Victory will only come when more people find a spiritual practice they can aspire to.

The Conspiracy of The Evil Cabal

Whether lizard people run the government, there are hidden bases on the moon, or human life on earth was seeded by aliens, all who dive down the conspiracy theory rabbit hole eventually realize that you still have a life to live and your time is best spent making the most of it. However, the curious mind that got you here won’t really be satisfied with “it doesn’t really matter” and going forward, you won’t be able to completely avoid conspiratorial conversations.

While the other sections of this article cover the more obvious and normie accessible arguments for the fall into unnatural delusion, this will be one of the rare times I share my own more conspiratorial take on the evil behind it all. The reason I generally avoid such topics is certainly not because I don’t believe such things, but because I feel actionable content around self improvement and parallel building are severely lacking and other accounts cover conspiratorial content much better than myself.

But to weigh in, I will ever so briefly say that yes, I have come to believe that there is a group of people, in service to dark entities, who have wormed their way into positions of influence in order to take advantage of the trusting nature of good people and control the masses for their own gains. These people have inverted what is good and elevated what is evil, weak, selfish, degenerate, and unnatural in order to destroy the strength of the people who would oppose them. It is up to you to keep an open mind when looking into these things and realizing the good guys don’t always win and the victors get to write the history books.

Again, I caution you against spending too much time diving down rabbit holes because the inevitable conclusion you will reach is that we as individuals can do little to affect the broader conspiracies of the world. What effect we can have is at a local level, first in our own lives and then in the lives of those around us. So while awareness of our enemy is important, the solution is not living in opposition to evil, but pursuit of good.

Not Malice But Weakness

It is a common reaction for the newly awakened to despise those who sold out to gain positions of power, who gather in mobs to virtue signal, or who simply stand by apathetically while society falls. As we believe ourselves to have agency, it is hard not to see the moral failures of others as a result of their own malicious intentions. We conclude that only people who are truly evil could be so complicit in the unnatural delusion. But as we cool down from our own rage at the corrupted state of the world, we realize that is is not malice, but weakness that drives those who champion evil.

Despite the blustering of those in power and those who support them, these people have no conviction in their beliefs. Many live in terror of losing their position in the herd least the herd turn on them. They chose to sell out because of weakness, because the only thing they care about is their material safety, and this was the easiest path. When you look upon those who prop up the mainstream delusion, realize that while some might be truly evil, all of them are weak and afraid.

Incentives of The System

One of the easiest ways to understand why systems function the way they do is to simply look at the incentives. If the system materially punishes you for disagreeing and rewards you for supporting, it doesn’t matter how delusional things become or how much the system violates natural sensibilities, many people will happily toe the line because they are convinced the only thing that matters is the material.

CEO must optimize short term shareholder value, a candidate must cater to large political donors, and a worker must obey HR dictats or else they will be replaced with someone who will. People believe that martyring them for some esoteric good won’t change anything and to a large extent they are right. With the vast majority buying into the system and playing by the incentives, individual sacrifices do very little to change the system or its actions.

This is why the creation of parallel systems is so important. More and more people are starting to see the problems inherent in the current system, but without an alternative to adopt, there is no alternative but to continue playing by the rules of the system. Give people a viable alternative and not only will they adopt it in droves, but systems with positive incentives and good actors always function more effectively than those without.

It is also important to note that a spiritual understanding of reality is an extremely effective way to break the perverse material incentivizations of the current system. When you understand that your honor, integrity, and soul are beyond any material price, you can no longer be bought. This is not to say that material success should always be sacrificed on the altar of spiritual ideals, but playing the game of life from a spiritual perspective frees you to act.

In the meantime, it is important for the individual traveler to become a master of both worlds, with one foot in the mainstream delusion and one foot in the parallel movement. Over time, with diligence and thoughtfulness, the parallel systems we are building will gain more momentum and provide a growing alternative for more looking to break away from the unnatural and unhealthy mainstream delusion.

Voluntary Challenge

While the lack of spiritual ideals is the foundational reason the mainstream delusion was allowed to consume our modern world, one of the most obvious ways this spiritual death manifests is a lack of willingness to undertake challenge and hardship. The Last Man lives a strictly material life, in fear of death and discomfort, and so will never extend themselves beyond what is necessary, failing to understand that life is most meaningful and fulfilling with greater responsibility and challenge.

Despite the economic hardships we live under, it is possible to subsist with little effort. One could even argue that not trying and becoming a ward of the state is much easier than trying to become self reliant. The system wants Last Men who will parrot the mantras of the religion of delusion and so will go so far as to build financial incentives to support them. The bread and circus of endless online streaming entertainment, video games, pot, alcohol, and porn keeps most locked into a zombified state where they accept their pathetic existence. Choosing to take on challenge is an idea foreign to the Last Man.

To break free from the delusion, one must come to understand the spiritual value of a life filled with challenge and responsibility. I have written a thread on this topic you can find here, but suffice it to say that we are spiritual beings having a material experience. The purpose of that experience is that through challenge and adversity we come to know more about ourselves, creation, and Divinity. By stagnating in a state of minimal subsistence and risk aversion, we don’t protect but squander the opportunity of life.

Conclusion

Our awakening is a result of our curiosity and drive to understand. That curiosity does not stop, and it is natural for us to wish to understand why and how the world has fallen into such an unnatural and delusional state. The answer, in its most succinct and fundamental form, is the spiritual death of humanity and an immersion in a strictly material mindset.

While there certainly are evil forces using the levers of power to warp what is good so that it cannot effectively oppose them, this is done through killing our spiritual understanding and building a system that uses this material enslavement to incentivize loyalty to the mainstream delusion. Those controlled were not malicious, but apathetic, weak, and spiritual bereft. They see no value in any responsibility or challenge beyond what is absolutely necessary for their existence and will shirk all risk or danger in fear of their life.

What they fail to understand is that this existence is much more than just material. The spiritual understanding sets us free to act with purpose and practicality and live a life that, while certainly more difficult and challenging, is the only path to meaning and fulfillment. Once you understand this, you understand how weakness let the world fall to delusion and it is only through strength that we can rebuild it.
